Spring is in the air. Keep your nature calm and your cleaning green!

1. Push Reel Lawn Mower

Keep your natural habitat in check with this re-inspired grooming machine. Relatively inexpensive, running from about $125 - $225 dollars, most machines come with a warranty, do not require any gas or maintenance and are pleasantly silent! Some recommended brands are Scott, Brill, and Easun - and many are available right now online with free shipping at People Powered Machines. They can also be found at your local hardware store as well. Keep in mind though that these machines are ideal for small lawns only.

2. Roxul's Green Soundproof Home Insulation

This is the stuff of a homeowner's dream for a quiet and chemical free home. Hearing your neighbor, or family members through a wall can be a huge mental health concern, inducing stress, because walls are insulated with minimum requirement insulation. Choosing a quality insulation to put inside your walls is essential not only for getting the piece of mind and rest you deserve, but also for preventing fire! A soundproof, fire and mold resistant insulation is an excellent selection for home owners and contractors looking for quality, results and a happiness factor. This particular brand uses at least 40% recycled material and boasts a vey green manufacturing ethic, dedicated to delivering zero material to landfills and recycling water and other materials that are used.

3. Microbial Health Masks

This product is a health investment. A substantial amount of harmful particles and dangerous toxins can enter your body and environment during house cleaning. These masks will prevent harmful particle inhalation and are not a burden on the environment. Even use this as an inspiration to make your own with an old cloth and strap! Microbial health masks are recommended for businesses, contracting and construction (including trades), airplanes and other institutions that require them. They are also good for flu protection.

4. Casio Men's Solar Compass Watch

This watch tells the time and the direction digitally and never needs the battery replacing. Using the sun's energy, this watch is tough, it can be used for generations with virtually no need to get in there and replace a battery - that could be discontinued, toxic to the environment, and an annoying necessity. Excellent for athletes, adventurists and outdoor enthusiasts who require versatility and convenience.

5. New & Green Cloth Diapers

New & Green brings you a family-run business selling cloth-diapers. Hemp and cotton are safe for a baby's skin and for the environment. Disposable diapers are a terrible and widespread contribution to the landfill problem growing out of control. These products will allow you to control what you throw out. Relatively easy to work with, you dispose the diapers in a zippered waste bag and easily wash them in the machine afterward. On a brighter note, green cloth-diapers are available in a variety of colours and types.

6. Restore Storage Basket

Restore Storage Basket in 100% recycled PET bottles from Muuto. It's a terrifice little basket for holding magazines or any other items you have lying around. Polymer felt combined with a soft form give the basket a friendly appearance. Available in five colors.

7. Electrolux Green Ultrasilencer Vaccuum Cleaner

This is the greenest vacuum cleaner on the market right now - next to picking each particle of dirt up by hand. It is made with 55% recycled plastics, comes in a variety of colours and outputs only 60 decibals of sound. What a nice change from the usual loud machines that scare your pets away. The HEPA filter can also be washed and reused to prevent waste. The Electrolux is a good choice if you need a vacuum cleaner pronto, but I'm still waiting for the cordless solar powered vac to come into existence.

8. Particle Counter

The Healthy House Institute supports the Dylos particle counter. This device literally counts all harmful particles in the air in your house: fine dust, bacteria, mold, smoke, smog, coarse dust, pollens, plant spores, dust mite feces, and more. This is important because it is often said that indoor air pollution can be even worse than outdoor, depending on where you live. The particle counter gives you the ability to monitor how many harmful particles are in your house and do all you can to prevent it. The device itself is not made from recycled materials but hopefully future models will be.

9. VivaTerra's Entwined Root Coat Stand

What greener way to hang up your coats than on real branches. Made from random unclaimed wood, bring nature into your home and banish plastics and poor manufacturing practices from your interior decorating choices. Root coat stands are available in a small and large size.

10. Hello Rewind Custom Upcycled Laptop Cases

This company upcycles your old t-shirts into brand new laptop cases. But that's not all, as a humanitarian organization, they also picked a cause very important to them. You purchase a laptop case in your desired size. Then, they send you a prepaid envelope in which to send your very own worn-out t-shirts in. The workers are former female sex traffic workers who are reintegrated into society and who can have a healthy life with this exciting green job.
